# AliveShot > AliveShot is an iPhone app and a set of free web tools that turn videos, GIFs and short TikTok or Instagram clips into Live Photos, so they can be used as moving lock screen wallpapers on iOS 17 and later. A website cannot save a Live Photo into the iPhone Photos library; only an app can, so the web tools trim and crop in the browser (nothing is uploaded) and the app does the final save. Key facts: - iPhone camera Live Photos are about 3 seconds long; 1–3 seconds is the most reliable length for a lock screen wallpaper. - Live Photo wallpapers can animate on the Lock Screen on iOS 17 and later. - If iOS says “Motion not available”, common fixes are turning off Low Power Mode, trimming the clip to 1–3 seconds and turning off Reduce Motion. Apple does not publish the exact rules. ## Free tools - [Video to Live Photo](https://aliveshot.com/video-to-live-photo/): Free in-browser tool to trim a video to 1–3 seconds and pick a cover frame; nothing is uploaded. - [GIF to Live Photo](https://aliveshot.com/gif-to-live-photo/): Convert a GIF into a Live Photo that moves on your iPhone lock screen. - [TikTok to Live Photo](https://aliveshot.com/tiktok-to-live-photo/): Turn a saved TikTok into a Live Photo, using TikTok’s own option or by trimming the clip. - [Instagram video to Live Photo](https://aliveshot.com/instagram-video-to-live-photo/): Turn a saved Instagram Reel or video into a moving wallpaper. - [Screen recording to Live Photo](https://aliveshot.com/screen-recording-to-live-photo/): Trim and crop an iPhone screen recording to 9:16, then save it as a Live Photo wallpaper. ## Guides - [Live Photo to video](https://aliveshot.com/live-photo-to-video/): Save a Live Photo as a regular video on iPhone with Photos, and what to try if the option is missing. - [Live Photo to GIF](https://aliveshot.com/live-photo-to-gif/): Three ways to turn a Live Photo into a GIF: Loop or Bounce, a Shortcuts action, or Photos on a Mac. - [How to loop a Live Photo](https://aliveshot.com/how-to-loop-a-live-photo/): Use Loop, Bounce and Long Exposure in Photos, and what a looped Live Photo does on the lock screen. - [Video as iPhone wallpaper](https://aliveshot.com/video-as-wallpaper-iphone/): Can you set a video as your iPhone wallpaper?
